Charlestown, an Erickson Living retirement community, has opened Caton Woods in Catonsville, Md. The new continuing care assisted living community will be home to 116 residents.

Construction of Caton Woods, which took nearly two years, completes Phase 1 of a three-phase repositioning project with a cost of $75 million. The new building replaces the previous assisted living facility.

The H-shaped with building has apartments on the outside and large common areas in the middle. It includes spacious apartment homes, outdoor spaces and screened porches, as well as a rooftop terrace and patio with gazebo.

The building also has new amenities with creative arts space, theater, fitness center, salon, game room, library, and spa. Caton Woods offers modern amenities such as higher ceilings, granite counter tops, and cherry cabinets.
