Edgehill recently completed its $20-million expansion and renovation project in Stamford, Conn. The work on the continuing care retirement community included a new memory care wing, an upgraded sub-acute rehabilitation facility, and enhanced independent living residences.

A 15,700-square-foot memory care neighborhood, Harbor Wing, has 22 apartment homes and a variety of amenities as well as a secure outdoor patio. The wing is designed to be homelike and an easy-to-navigate environment for residents living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diseases.

The 23,975-square-foot sub-acute rehabilitation facility features private resident rooms, open public spaces, enhanced dining facilities, and hospitality-inspired services and amenities.

Renovations were also made to Edgehill’s independent living residences, including expanded casual dining, a roof-top garden, and more.

Construction at the community began in spring, 2015. The construction project team includes A.P. Construction Co., and Bechtel Frank Erickson Architects.
