Moceri Management Group has unveiled plans to develop a $300 million, resort-style community for people 55 and older in Sterling Heights, Mich. Construction on Verandas is expected to begin in 2017, pending approvals.
 
The new community will have 807 detached, townhome, condominium, and luxury apartment and will include a 30,000-square-foot event and celebration center with dining, fitness, indoor and outdoor pools and spas, retail, and other venues accessible to the public, as well as private spaces for residents only. 
 
Verandas also includes the 160-residence Blossom Lane, featuring one- and two-bedroom independent and assisted living apartments and studio suites. 
 
Of the 288 acres, 60 percent of the Verandas will designed landscapes, mature trees, and a wide range of amenities including the Maple Lane Golf Course.
