Each year, Environments for Aging magazine features a comprehensive compilation of architectural and interior design projects representing outstanding innovative design solutions in new or renovated senior care environments across the nation.

Emerald Expositions, The Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments (SAGE), The Center for Health Design, the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) work together to produce an Annual Design Showcase.

Presentations due: January 13, 2017

Construction categories include: New construction; Remodel-renovation, New construction/renovation; Additions; Projects in progress; Unbuilt/conceptual designs.

Eligible Settings include: Adult day services, alzheimer's/dementia, assisted living, CCRCs, hospice, independent living, post-acute/rehab, senior community centers, skilled nursing, wellness/fitness centers, and other senior care environments.

All submitted projects will be published, unless the project is NOT accepted by our panel of experts. The jury consists of architects, interior designers, consultants, regulators, providers and academic/research professionals specializing in senior care.

Awards and Recognition: Some projects will be honored with an Award of Merit, or Honorable Mention, which will be announced LIVE at the Environments for Aging Expo & Conference in Las Vegas (February 2017).
