Phoenix Senior Living is partnering with Flournoy Development Group to develop a new senior living community in Savannah, Ga. An article in Senior Housing News reports that the new community will be called The Phoenix at Savannah, and will have 142 units. Reporter Tim Regan writes that, “If all goes according to plan, the companies will break ground on the project in the spring of 2020.”

Also in the south, Searstone, a not-for-profit retirement community in Cary, N.C., plans to add 152 independent living residences in a new expansion project. “The new four-story residence building will also have a 5,000-square-foot auditorium and arts center, expanded health care center, multiple new dining venues, a game room and outdoor common spaces,” writes Regan. “As planned, the expansion will open in 2023.”
