Corridors include custom carpeting, while each floor introduces a different accent wall color at the apartment entries to help facilitate wayfinding. Corridor artwork features regional seascape imagery.
Village Walk, owned by The D&F Development Group (Levittown, N.Y.), is nestled in the picturesque Long Island village of downtown Patchogue, N.Y. The five-story, 87,700-square-foot community, which opened in December 2017, houses 82 assisted living apartments and 46 memory care units.
The design embodies transitional design elements, including mixed metals, dark wood trim, and sea-inspired colors, with modern amenities, such as an internet lounge, creative art studio, and rooftop observation deck. The reception and lobby areas feature warm rust and gold tones that coordinate with rich wood columns with metal reveals. Common areas front the street so that residents can look out the large windows and feel connected to the activities in the Patchogue community.
